Looking Forward

I was looking back through the past few months on my blog and it occurred to me, high school already seems like a distant dream. It's only been what, a week and a half? And yet as I read about calc homework and lit reading assignments it surprised me to realize that they already seemed so far away. I was thinking, wait, calc homework was a thing? I was staying up late because I had homework, not just because I have a bad habit? It made me realize that I've been so busy looking ahead that I'm already forgetting what I left behind.

But oh how excited I am for the future! Yesterday they sent out invites for the Summerfuel Facebook group, and I am so ecstatic I can hardly contain myself. 26 days can't fly by fast enough for me. I just want to be in Oxford and getting to know all of these fabulous people I'm hearing about online. They exist! They're real! This is happening!

Sincerely, mad

  1. Hello there! I recently stumbled upon your blog and think you are simply adorable. I'm curious though (as I couldnt' seem to glean the answers from your posts) - what brings you to the UK? are you coming to study here or travel (or both? or neither?) - I moved to the UK about a year ago from Australia and am LOVING IT. In fact I spent a day in Oxford two weeks ago.. umm... you will love it. I saw the stone table that Tolkien used to hang out at, the doorway that inspired C S Lewis' The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe AND the river that Lewis Carroll began to make up the story of Alice in Wonderland on.......... a literary dream I tell you!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello :) Hope you're enjoying your summer!

    1. Hello! Nice to meet you!
I'm going through a high school study abroad program called Summerfuel. It's a long story but basically I was dying to go to England and since my parents couldn't take me for more than a week, I did some research and stumbled upon Summerfuel, and well, the rest is history:-) I'll go to study Shakespeare and digital photography, two of my favorite things. Oh my goodness, those sites are awesome! Oxford sounds like a dream!
Thanks for commenting! I love new friends:-) Have a great day!
